Boardroom Split over Robbo's future

Last updated : 07 May 2005 By Stewart Morrison

A boardroom spilt at Tynecastle could signal the end for Hearts legend and current boss John Robertson. Seven of the club's eight directors were present at last night's board meeting – owner Vladimir’s son, Roman Romanov, took part by conference call from Moscow - and the Lithuanian board members are still not convinced by their manager. Despite suggestions from within the club last week that Robbo would be staying as manager, it was agreed at the meeting that a decision on his future should be postponed until after today's game against Rangers - Robbo's fate expected to be decided on Monday lunchtime.
