Hibs raced into the lead with just four and a half minutes on the clock as Merouane Zemmama scored his first ever goal for the home side and they doubled their advantage on 17 minutes through Chris Killen.
Hearts however salvaged a point with two goals from Andrius Velicka on 28 and 72 minutes although they had to play the last half-an-hour with just ten men following Saulius Mikoliunas' sending off for two bookable offences.
"I was angry after the first 20 minutes, but there was no question about our performance," Ivanauskas said after the match.
"I don't ever think about us losing. We are very good physically and psychologically."
On Saulius Mikoliunas' sending off, he said: "It was not very clever for him. It was not positive aggression that he showed, but he is a young player who wants to play all the time and do his best and it's experience for him. We'll talk about it later."
