Benfica left back Panagiotis Fyssas is expected to complete his move to Hearts this weekend. The 32-year-old left back has passed a medical this afternoon and is continuing to train in Portugal while he awaits the completion of his move.
Hearts chief executive Phil Anderton has revealed that player and club have still to agree on terms but he is not expecting any last-minute hitches regardless of Hints from Celtic Park.
"He's passed his medical and we should be able to wrap up an agreement with Panagiotis by Sunday. He is an experienced player who had an exceptional Euro 2004," added Anderton.
The Greek international is available on a free transfer, having fallen out of favour with his Lisbon-based employers which cannot be a bad thing for the mighty Jam tarts!
