Gorgie Boys turn attentions to Ibrox

Hearts travel through to Govan for the third time this season on Saturday, and will be in confident mood after two wins which have propelled them back into the race for a UEFA Cup place.

The SFA computer has been particularly hard on the Gorgie men this year, handing them tough away trips to both Rangers and Celtic in the opening post-split fixtures.

However, Hearts' recent 1-0 victories over Hibs and Kilmarnock are sure to boost spirits as the Jambos head along the M8 to tackle Rangers at Ibrox, a ground which has returned only two wins in ten years for the Tynecastle side.

Thanks to the complexities of the SPL split, only three months have passed since the Jambos' last visit, where they produced a dogged defensive display to take a share of the points in a uneventful 0-0 draw. They'll need to show more ambition this time however if they are to record their first success in the blue half of Glasgow since May 2004, when Joe Hamil's strike was enough to secure a 1-0 win.

Roman Bednar, Calum Elliot and Saulius Mikoliunas are all in contention for today's reserve match against St Mirren as they bid to prove their fitness ahead of Saturday's match.

Match odds: Rangers 1/2 Draw 5/2 Hearts 5/1
