Hearts assistant Steve Frail yesterday confirmed the club would be adopting a new transfer policy for next season after a dissapointing campaign for the Jam Tarts.
The capital side were expected to challenge Champions Celtic for the league title, however that challenge failed to materialise much to the frustration of the Tynecastle faithful, who's side set the SPL alight last season with their best league start for 92 years.
The club previously made noises about a change of tactic in the transfer market, however Frail told the Scotsman: "I don't think nationality matters, but at the moment most of the targets are British... What matters is if the player is better than what you already have"
Those words will be music to the ears of Jambos everywhere, who have become disoriented at the seemingly never ending conveyor belt of sub standard players fast tracked into the first team this season.
After previously stating the club needed "Five or Six quality players" for next season, Frail also confirmed that Kilmarnock's Steven Naismith was NOT a specific target, although would NOT rule out a move for the Kilie forward, adding: "I think Mr Romanov is already very aware of the Scottish market. I've spoken to him about certain players."
Fans will be eagerly anticipating the summer transfer window to see which players Vladimir Romanov brings into the club.
