 Hearts boss Jim Jefferies will appreciate the chance to get his players together for the full 2010/11 season including the pre-season preparations. A lot of the coach's philosophy on how he wants his side to play is embedded in players as they go through the process of tightening up the muscles loosened by the holiday period. It is not just the body that needs a re-tune but also the mind, especially as Jeffries arrived in mid-season. He has learnt a lot about his players since his arrival in January and can't wait to get them thinking his way right from the start.While the result of the last game of the season did not end the way Jeffries had written the script, he was pleased with his side's performance. He said: "The first half was the best we have played since I came here in January. We didn't play as well in the second half but it was a wonder strike for their winner. The boy did fantastic just to get a touch and it was just a great goal." |
