Hearts are confident that today's scheduled Scottish Cup fourth round game against with St Johnstone will go ahead on Tuesday due to adverse weather. The game at Tynecastle was postponed on the grounds of public safety as the return of snow and ice to Scotland resulted in a number of burst pipes at the ground. A Hearts' spokesman said: "The pitch at Tynecastle is in perfect condition however public safety is our priority and we were left with no option other than to postpone the game. We have kept St Johnstone informed of events and the rescheduled date for the match is now this coming Tuesday, with a 7.30pm kick-off. With work having started this morning to repair the affected pipes, we are confident the tie will go ahead on Tuesday." |
