Hearts escaped from the Highland capital with a point after a disappointing goalless draw at Inverness.
Much of the activity surrounding the Jambos was down to who was managing the team. However chief owner Vladimir Romanov used his spokesman to tell the press how important captain Steven Pressley is to the club, despite recently dropping him.
As it turned out, Eduard Malofeev took charge of the team before his touchline ban kicks in.
The visitors started well and Paul Hartley went close on just two minutes with a dipping drive.
Chances were few and far between, but Barry Wilson forced a fine save from Scotland number one Craig Gordon, then Darren Dods saw his shot deflected wide on 28 minutes.
Then Hearts' Saulius Mikoliunas tested Mark Brown with a brilliant swerving effort from 16 yards.
Just before the break, Ian Black's header had the crossbar rattling after a cross from Richard Hastings as the hosts upped the tempo.
In the early stages of the second half Hearts took a grip of the game and Takis Fyssas drove a shot over the top on 55 minutes.
The closest Inverness came to breaking through was when Craig Dargo's effort was held after sub Richie Hart sent in a telling cross.
And with just 11 minutes left Dargo went on a surging run and sent a dipping drive just over the bar.
